Apple Pastries

This is the perfect sweet treat to make when hosting, because they are so easy, quick and incredibly delicious. Did I mention they only require 4 ingredients?

The tangy apples, dusted with sweet cinnamon sugar and paired with crispy pastry is the perfect combo!

Give it a try next time you are in a time pinch or don’t know what to make for dessert.

  • Puff pastry sheets

  • 1 free range egg

  • Sliced, canned apples

  • Cinnamon sugar (can make your own or buy mixed already)

  • Icing sugar for dusting (optional)

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees (Celsius).

  2. Slice puff pastry sheet into even rectangles or squares and place on a lined baking tray.

  3. Whisk the egg in a small bowl or cup and brush over pastry slices using a basting brush (this will make the pastry crispy and golden).

  4. Place 3 or 4 slices of apple onto the pasty.

  5. Lightly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the apples and pastry.

  6. Place in oven for roughly 15 minutes or until the pastry is golden and crispy.

  7. Dust lightly with icing sugar (optional).

  8. Serve pastries plain or with custard and/or ice cream.

  9. Enjoy!
