Be That Person
24 . 03 . 2026
Have you ever been asked, “how are you?” out of the blue? Maybe you have and you know exactly how wonderful that makes you feel, or maybe you haven’t and you would love to have been thought of.
This newsletter is about thoughtfulness if you haven’t guessed already.
Being thoughtful doesn’t just mean buying people gifts. Thoughtfulness can come in many shapes and forms, as everyone shows thoughtfulness in a different way. Sometimes it’s hard being a thoughtful person, especially when no one is being thoughtful towards you. However just like the popular phrase, “be the bigger man”, we need to step up.
This concept actually stems from the Bible. The Bible tells us that even when opposition faces us, we have to turn to the other cheek. It also tells us to love one another how we want to be loved (see Bible verses below). I encourage (and possibly challenge) you to be that thoughtful person. Whether it’s by giving someone a call, sending them a text, remembering their favourite treat or by noticing the little things, you can be that thoughtful person you’ve always wanted in your life.
Now trust me I get it. Life can be extremely busy, but that doesn’t mean you should stop being thoughtful. The way in which you show thoughtfulness may look different, but it is still important to let others feel cared for. In these busy periods of life, that’s when you should stop and think, “how can I serve others?”, even in small ways. Serving will always bless you in some way or another!
“But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also” Matthew 5:39
“Do to others as you would have them do to you” Luke 6:31
“Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others” Philippians 2:4
Lots of love, Cara
